Interview by Tiana McGee of A.Bevy at Winthrop University
Tia Greene’s most impressionable trait is her ambition. She doesn’t believe a ‘no’ controls her. Instead, she’ll work ten times harder. It’s important for young adults to be authentic to themselves because they are the only one that really knows their aspirations in life. The Columbia, SC native and USC Upstate student states, “If you can’t be true to yourself it put a hold on how you attempt to accomplish your goals in life.” If she could leave behind anything in this world it would be a journal of the plans she has to execute her goals.
What do you believe is the most "impressive" and memorable trait, talent, or value that you possess and why?
"Ambition, I don't believe a "no" controls my destiny and when I hear that it makes me work 10x harder."
Why do you think it is important for young adults to be "authentic" and true to themselves in today's society?
"I think it's important for young adults to be "authentic" to themselves becausethey are the only one that really knows their aspirations in life. If you can't be true to yourself it puts a hold on how you attempt to accomplish your goals in life."
If you could impress upon, give, or leave anything to this world, what would it be?
"I would leave a journal. If you think your goals through and write down steps of how you plan to complete these goals it will happen."
What authentic impression will you leave?
