Name one well known individual that exemplifies versatility and how?
One well known individual that exemplifies versatility is Tracee Ellis Ross (former "Girlfriends" cast member, current cast member on "Blackish"). She is versatile in style, intellect, and acting. Tracee transforms from red carpet looks to street wear effortlessly. She is also a Black Feminist, who advocates for those who are unable to do so for themselves. She is able to be active in the women's movement, whilst also doing so within the movement for Black lives. She is helping to shape a new generation of young women who love and positively promote themselves, while also teaching that it is okay to do the same to other women. She is able to play roles that are serious, as well as those that are extremely humorous. She can be classy and sophisticated, but also turn it up a notch and show a rougher, street side.
How do you use your passion to illuminate change in the world?
In order to illuminate change, one must know what they desire to change. I use my passion to illuminate change by knowing myself, and knowing my wealth, so that I can bring that mindset out in others. My passions have led me to several leadership roles and in these positions I have the power not only to lead, but cultivate other leaders who are strong in who they are and what they stand for. I illuminate change by giving back every chance I get whether I am teaching a Sunday school class, tutoring at the local recreation center, or participating in a performance to inspire young children. I use my passion through provoking, educating, and uplifting others every day. I use my passions to illuminate and influence change socially, academically, sartorially, culturally, and politically.
If you could leave one lasting Impression on others what would it be and why?
If I could leave one lasting impression on others it would be one that allows them to live and breathe every day with a deep understanding that they control their destiny, but they also control the impact they have.
