Tadean C. Page is indeed humble, intelligent, and motivated. Working to achieve greatness has always been, and always will be his number one goal. Having grown up in Dillon, South Carolina many people place caps on how far they believe young African American males from such an area will go. Page used this to build his resilience and drive to succeed. He currently attends Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina where he is a junior and is working to obtain a degree in Organizational Leadership with emphasis on Social Justice, with minors in both leadership and community based learning. With his degree, he plans to pursue careers in fields such as business consulting, real estate, motivational speaking and certified life coaching, and a host of other business endeavors. He then hopes to continue in education to receive a degree in educational leadership and administration to create a school for motivated and potential business owners. Until all of these goals are achieved, he is currently serving and doing a number of things at his University and in the community.
At Winthrop University, Mr. Page currently serves as the Student Body Vice-President for the 2016-2017 academic year and was just elected as the Student Body President for the 2017-2018 academic year. He is the immediate past president of the South Carolina Education Association, a co-host on Winthrop’s Radio Station, an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and a student worker all while maintaining a grade point average above 3.0. He does not get a thrill out of boasting about his accomplishments or success thus far, but in having that constant justification that the sky is truly the limit.
As an active member of church at Powerhouse Christian Church, Tadean serves on the praise and worship team, choir, and mime dance team. His relationship with God is the most important thing in life, and he sets out to spread the love of Christ. He is the founder of the “I am H.I.M.” Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit organization established to assist other males to pursue greater in life through financial assistance and moral support for their college career. At such a young age, Mr. Page is also a business owner. He is the lead creative director for Vision Apparel. Vision is a clothing line he started to spread a message of hope. A message that says regardless of where you come from, you can be anything you want to be in life with a plan and vision. His hobbies include going to church, singing, shopping, and hanging with friends.
Name one well known individual that exemplifies versatility and how?
One well known individual that exemplifies versatility is Bryant White. Creating such an organization that caters to the needs of individuals and creates a sense of unity amongst individuals of different races, socioeconomic statuses, sexual preferences, and interests develops from someone who has an open and versatile way of thinking.
How do you use your passion to illuminate change in the world?
I use my passion of motivating others to illuminate change in the world. I believe that it is my duty to serve as a motivating factor in the life of others. Encouraging others to overcome their struggles, inspiring others to chase their dreams, and empowering individuals to be the best that they can be are ways I use my motivation. I am a firm believer that the more people I motivate, the more people they can motivate; the more people they motivate, that ripple effect continues to impact the world and causes waves of change.
If you could leave one lasting Impression on others what would it be and why?
One of my favorite quotes is, “May the works I do speak for me.” The lasting impression I would want to leave on others is that I am a servant. A luxury house, money, and designer clothing are things that I want out of life, but all of that will fade away. Ten years from now, no one will remember the $1,000 pair of shoes I bought. What will be remembered ten years from now are my actions. I want my actions of service, giving, volunteering and uplifting to be lasting. Leading is what I do, but a servant is who I am.
